The Senior Maintenance Supervisor is the sole person to whom the Maintenance Supervisor answers. Picture of a Day in the Life:
- Manage the maintenance personnel, inspire them, help them grow, and act as their direct leader.

- Make certain that every maintenance task is documented on work orders and submitted to the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

- Examine completed work orders to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct routine inspections of recently maintained equipment to assess the effectiveness of the maintenance and the state of the equipment.
- communicate with engineering and operations about issues with equipment availability and maintenance
- Give the planner/scheduler direction when approving, prioritizing, and estimating work, as well as technical support when creating task plans.
- the examination of pre- and post-maintenance schedules, KPI meetings, and various production meetings,

The Items You Bring:
- a love of the industrial industry
- 3 to 5 years of managerial experience in a unionized setting Understanding of best practices and world-class maintenance
- understanding of the principles of Six Sigma, RCM, and autonomous maintenance
- You are a licensed tradesperson with relevant experience or a college graduate with an electro-mechanical degree.
- knowledge of maintenance strategies that are preventative and predictive
- You are comfortable utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP-PM, and are willing to work shifts as needed
- You are commended for your capacity to solve problems and exhibit organization
- strong leadership and interpersonal communication abilities
- An asset would be previous knowledge of the food production or processing industries.
- understanding of how ammonia-based plant refrigeration systems work
- using key performance indicators and benchmarking to better manage maintenance and maintenance resources
- a track record of spotting reliability problems and adopting improvement techniques
