Summary of Position:

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility and its equipment and reports to the Afternoon Shift facility Superintendent. A position has tight relationships with those working in operations, quality assurance, and sanitation.
The Sanitation Supervisor supports creating and sustaining a culture of ongoing process, productivity, and efficiency improvement as a member of the plant's leadership team.

Major Responsibilities

• Manages a team of about 16 individuals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Participating in hiring.
• Coordinates and facilitates employee training and development, including cross-training staff in all facilities areas, and performance supervision.
• Examine the daily and weekly production schedules, then assign workers as necessary.
• SSOPs should be created, reviewed, and revised in cooperation with quality assurance.
• Establishes a feedback mechanism to monitor the production environment (i.e., tools, quality, price, efficiency, etc.) in order to guarantee prompt sanitization issues resolution and constant work and product quality.
• Ensures that all Health & Safety and Food Safety policies and procedures are followed, including conducting inspections and providing training.

Requirements

• A minimum of three to five years in the sector; a combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
• Chemical engineering experience would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, WHMIS 2015/GHS (Workplace Hazardous
• Materials Information System), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and GMP (Good
• Manufacturing Practices).
• A track record of managing staff within the confines of the Terms and Conditions and the rules and procedures of the Human Resources department.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
• It is necessary to have the ability to function in a fast-paced atmosphere with shifting priorities.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
