Job Summary:

Forma Motors Inc. is seeking a diligent and motivated Mechanic Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will assist our experienced mechanics in performing routine vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Key Responsibilities:

• Assistance in Repairs: Support mechanics in performing vehicle repairs, including engine overhauls, brake system repairs, and suspension adjustments.
• Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks under the supervision of a senior mechanic.
• Tool Management: Maintain and organize tools and equipment, ensuring they are readily available for use and in good working condition.
• Diagnostics Support: Assist in diagnosing vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and software, and help in interpreting the results.
• Shop Maintenance: Keep the workshop clean and organized, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers to relay information from the mechanic and ensure their questions and concerns are addressed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an automotive repair or maintenance role.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive repair is an asset.
• Skills: Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures, familiarity with automotive tools and equipment, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Attributes: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and eagerness to learn.
• Language: Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
