Job Description:
Meltwich is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Line Cooks. This role is crucial for the successful preparation and presentation of our delicious dishes. The ideal candidates are passionate about cooking, work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and have a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to Meltwich's recipes and portion guidelines. This includes grilling cheese sandwiches, preparing sides, and ensuring all items are cooked to perfection.
- Station Management: Manage a designated kitchen station, keeping it clean, organized, and well-stocked. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow during service.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet Meltwich's quality standards for taste, appearance, and presentation. Conduct final inspections before serving to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Safety and Sanitation: Follow all food safety protocols and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment. Use kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions or hazards to the kitchen supervisor.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other line cooks, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team members to ensure efficient service. Communicate effectively to coordinate orders and address any kitchen-related issues.
- Inventory Management: Assist with monitoring inventory levels and inform supervisors of low-stock items. Participate in regular stock checks and help with ordering supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- LMIA approval for Line Cook position.
- Previous experience in a similar cooking or food preparation role.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
