Job Description:

We are seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) at DOKPC. The ideal candidates are compassionate, detail-oriented, and have a strong commitment to patient care.

Job Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing wound care, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities. Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about healthcare plans, medication administration, and other aspects of patient care. Ensure that patients understand their treatment plans and are empowered to manage their health.
  • Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, medication administration, and care plans. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy policies.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care to patients. Participate in care conferences and contribute to patient care discussions.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure that all equipment and patient care areas are sanitized and maintained according to safety regulations. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients' rights are upheld and their needs are met. Address patient concerns and resolve issues in a compassionate and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • LMIA approval for Licensed Practical Nurse position.
  • Valid LPN license in Canada or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow healthcare protocols accurately.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
