Position Overview:

K&C Silviculture Ltd. is seeking motivated and hardworking Irrigation Workers under the Temporary Foreign Worker program. This role is essential for maintaining optimal soil moisture levels necessary for the successful growth and health of our reforestation projects. As an Irrigation Worker, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our planted areas receive adequate water, contributing to the sustainability and success of our forestry operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, inspect, and maintain irrigation systems, including drip lines, sprinklers, and other water delivery mechanisms.
• Monitoring: Regularly monitor soil moisture levels and weather conditions to adjust irrigation schedules accordingly.
• Repair: Identify and repair leaks, clogs, and other issues within the irrigation system to ensure efficient water usage.
• Water Management: Implement water conservation techniques and practices to minimize waste and promote sustainable irrigation.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of irrigation schedules, maintenance activities, and system performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with forestry technicians and other team
• members to coordinate irrigation needs with planting and vegetation management activities.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in irrigation work, agriculture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Basic understanding of irrigation systems and components, ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, and familiarity with water management practices.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
• Team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse group of individuals.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and work schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if necessary.
