Job Description:
Lucky Auto is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Garage Mechanics. This position is critical for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. The ideal candidates are skilled in automotive mechanics, have a strong problem-solving ability, and are committed to delivering top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles. Analyze results to determine the root cause of problems and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Automotive Repair and Maintenance: Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine work, brake systems, transmission services, suspension, and electrical systems. Complete routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance are completed to the highest standard. Test vehicles after repairs to ensure they are functioning properly and meet safety regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for garage tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions to supervisors for repair or replacement.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their vehicle issues and provide clear explanations of repair needs. Offer advice on vehicle care and answer any questions customers may have.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations. Keep the garage area clean and organized to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- LMIA approval for Garage Mechanic position.
- Certification or training in automotive technology or a related field.
- Previous experience as a mechanic or automotive technician.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
