Job Description:

Mandair Farms Ltd. is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Farm General Labourers. This position is critical to the day-to-day operations of our farm, involving a variety of tasks related to planting, harvesting, and general farm maintenance. The ideal candidates are hard-working, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planting and Cultivation: Assist with planting crops according to the farm's schedule and crop rotation plan. This includes preparing soil, planting seeds or seedlings, and applying fertilizers as directed.
• Crop Maintenance: Maintain the health and growth of crops by performing tasks such as watering, weeding, pruning, and applying pesticides as needed. Monitor crops for signs of disease or pests and report any issues to supervisors.
• Harvesting: Participate in the harvest of various crops, ensuring that they are picked, sorted, and packed according to quality standards. Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate farm equipment such as tractors, cultivators, and irrigation systems. Perform routine maintenance and report any malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
• General Farm Maintenance: Assist with general farm tasks, including repairing fences, cleaning barns, and maintaining storage facilities. Keep the farm clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and adhere to farm policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• LMIA approval for Farm General Labourer position.
• Previous experience in agriculture or farm work preferred but not required.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as needed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
