Job Description:

DeWayne Unruh is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Farm Foremen. This position is integral to the daily operations of our farm, providing leadership and supervision to our farm workers while ensuring the efficient running of farm activities. The ideal candidates are experienced in agriculture, possess strong leadership skills, and are dedicated to sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Lead a team of farm workers, assigning tasks, and ensuring that all activities are completed efficiently and according to farm guidelines. Provide training and support to team members to promote productivity and teamwork.
• Farm Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day farm operations, including crop planting, harvesting, and livestock care. Coordinate with other foremen and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow across different farm activities.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that farm equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Conduct routine inspections and arrange for repairs or servicing when necessary.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality in all farm operations, from crop production to livestock management. Monitor crops for signs of disease or pests, and ensure that livestock is healthy and well-cared-for.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all farm workers adhere to safety protocols and farm policies. Conduct safety training and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of farm activities, including crop yields, livestock health, and equipment maintenance. Provide reports to farm management as required.

Qualifications:

• LMIA approval for Farm Foreman position.
• Previous experience in agriculture, farm management, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of crop production and livestock management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
