Job Description:

Ginni Trucking Ltd. is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Dump Truck Drivers. This role involves operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and construction debris to and from job sites. The ideal candidates are skilled drivers with a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Safe Operation of Dump Trucks: Drive dump trucks to transport materials between locations, following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Operate equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to proper loading and unloading procedures.
  2. Loading and Unloading: Load materials onto dump trucks using heavy equipment such as loaders or excavators. Ensure that materials are secured properly and distributed evenly to prevent shifting during transit. Unload materials at designated locations, following instructions from site supervisors.
  3. Route Planning and Navigation: Plan and organize delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize travel time. Use GPS navigation systems and maps to navigate routes safely and accurately, avoiding traffic congestion and road hazards.
  4. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on dump trucks, including checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and ensuring that all safety equipment is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to supervisors for repair.
  5. Communication and Customer Service: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate job assignments and ensure timely delivery of materials. Provide courteous and professional service to customers and clients, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.
  6. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations governing the operation of dump trucks and transportation vehicles. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow company safety policies to minimize risks and prevent accidents.

Qualifications:

  • LMIA approval for Dump Truck Driver position.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or Class B) with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience operating dump trucks or heavy equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
