Job Responsibilities:
- Clinical Support: Assist dentists during dental procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and ensuring a sterile environment.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for treatments, provide pre- and post-operative instructions, and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental x-rays as instructed by the dentist, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
- Record Keeping: Maintain patient records, update charts, and manage dental office documentation efficiently and confidentially.
- Infection Control: Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety and health of patients and staff.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage dental supplies and materials, ensuring the clinic is well-stocked and prepared for daily operations.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, handle patient inquiries, and manage billing and insurance claims as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to provide seamless and coordinated care for all patients.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental assistant.
- Education: Certification as a Dental Assistant; additional training or certification in dental radiography is an asset.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, excellent organizational skills, and knowledge of dental software and office procedures.
- Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage but not required.
