Job Description:

Next Gen Daycare is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Daycare Directors. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the daycare center's operations, including staff management, curriculum development, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidates are experienced early childhood educators with strong leadership skills and a passion for providing high-quality childcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise daycare staff, including teachers, assistants, and support personnel. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities to staff members to ensure high-quality care and education for children.
  2. Curriculum Development: Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and educational programs that align with the center's philosophy and goals. Plan and organize daily activities, lessons, and learning experiences that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  3. Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development and progress, using observation, documentation, and evaluation tools. Collaborate with staff and parents to set goals for children and create individualized learning plans as needed.
  4. Parent Communication and Engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and families, providing regular communication, updates, and feedback on their child's development and experiences. Organize parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events to promote family involvement and engagement in the daycare community.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements governing childcare centers. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting as required by regulatory agencies and funding sources.
  6. Safety and Security: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children, staff, and visitors. Conduct regular safety inspections, emergency drills, and risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.

Qualifications:

  • LMIA approval for Daycare Director position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of child development theories, best practices, and curriculum frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
