Job Summary:

Hyderabad Spices is seeking an experienced and creative Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Hyderabadi dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role requires a deep understanding of Indian cuisine, particularly Hyderabadi flavors, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Hyderabadi dishes, including biryanis, curries, tandoori items, and appetizers.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine the menu, introducing new and innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Team Leadership: Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and ensure the kitchen operates in accordance with local food safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a chef, with a focus on Indian cuisine; specific experience in Hyderabadi cuisine is highly desirable.
  • Education: Culinary certification or relevant culinary education is preferred.
  • Skills: Expertise in various cooking techniques, strong knife skills, and a thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Attributes: Creative, detail-oriented, strong leadership abilities, excellent time management, and a passion for delivering high-quality food.
  • Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is an asset.
