Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitization:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Waste Management:
- Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and compost materials in designated containers.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
- Surface Maintenance:
- Ensure windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and other fixtures are cleaned and streak-free.
- Polish metal surfaces and fixtures to maintain their appearance.
- Floor Care:
- Maintain and care for different types of flooring, including vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and occasionally performing more extensive floor treatments.
- Stocking and Inventory:
- Monitor and replenish supplies such as paper towels, hand soap, and other consumables in restrooms and common areas.
- Safety and Security:
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate channels.
- Follow established protocols for using cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with fellow janitorial staff to ensure seamless coverage and completion of tasks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
