Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Check-in and Check-out:
    • Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor upon arrival.
    • Assist guests in completing the check-in process efficiently and accurately.
    • Process check-outs, handle billing, and ensure all relevant paperwork is complete.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guests' inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a timely and courteous manner.
    • Offer information about the hotel's amenities, services, and local attractions to enhance guests' experiences.
  • Reservations and Bookings:
    • Manage room reservations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the hotel's booking policies.
    • Assist guests in making new reservations, modifying existing bookings, and providing information about room availability.
  • Telephone and Email Communication:
    • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, directing calls to the appropriate department or staff member.
    • Respond to emails and inquiries with clear and concise information, maintaining a high standard of written communication.
  • Guest Relations:
    • Build positive relationships with guests, anticipating their needs and preferences to create a personalized experience.
    • Address guest feedback and concerns effectively, striving to resolve issues to the guests' satisfaction.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of guest information, reservations, and transactions using the hotel's property management system.
    • Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and report generation.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest needs are met promptly and efficiently.


  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French.
  • Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and property management systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
