Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Data Entry: Record financial transactions and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
- Payroll Processing: Calculate and process employee payroll accurately, including deductions, taxes, and benefits.
- Financial Statements: Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Tax Preparation: Support tax preparation by gathering necessary documentation, completing tax forms, and assisting with tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Client Communication: Liaise with clients to gather financial information, address inquiries, and provide updates on their financial status.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and tools effectively to perform tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
- Support Senior Accountants: Assist senior accountants in various accounting tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage), Microsoft Excel, and other relevant tools.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
