Job Description:

ARZ Contracting Ltd. is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Welders. This position is critical for the successful completion of our welding and fabrication projects. The ideal candidates are experienced in various welding techniques and can work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored arc welding. Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all welds are structurally sound and meet quality standards. Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and weak points, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean welding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to supervisors for repair or replacement.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing welding tasks.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including fire safety measures, to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaboration with Team: Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and project supervisors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specification. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve any issues that may arise during the welding process.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal components.

Qualifications:

  • LMIA approval for Welder position.
  • Certification or training in welding techniques and processes.
  • Previous experience in welding and fabrication, preferably in an industrial or construction setting.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored arc welding.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
