Job Summary:

Leopold's Tavern is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking LMIA Kitchen Team Members to join our dynamic kitchen staff. This role is an excellent opportunity for temporary foreign workers looking to gain valuable culinary experience in Canada. As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to Leopold's Tavern's recipes and standards.
  • Cooking Support: Support chefs and cooks by performing various tasks, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and monitoring cooking times.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the management of kitchen inventory, including receiving deliveries, checking for quality and freshness, and storing supplies appropriately.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet the high standards of Leopold's Tavern in terms of presentation, taste, and portion size.
  • Customer Focus: Occasionally assist in customer service tasks, such as answering questions about menu items and accommodating special dietary requests.


  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary setting is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
  • Skills: Basic understanding of kitchen operations and cooking techniques. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.
  • Communication: Basic English language skills are required to understand instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
