Role Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Food Counter Attendants to join our team at Jerusalem Shawarma. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service and high-quality food. This position is open to individuals under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, with the opportunity to apply for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude. Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all customer preferences and special requests are noted.
• Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and assembling a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, including shawarmas, falafels, and salads. Follow recipes and presentation standards to maintain consistency.
  Counter Management: Maintain a clean and organized counter area. Ensure all food items are stocked, and display cases are clean and appealing.
  Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide accurate change. Ensure all transactions are handled with integrity and accuracy.
  Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Communicate effectively to meet customer demands and maintain workflow.
  Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards. Ensure the workspace is clean and sanitized, and follow health regulations to provide a safe dining experience for our customers.
  Product Knowledge: Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, and potential allergens to assist customers with their inquiries. Promote daily specials and new menu items.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a fast-food or quick-service restaurant is an asset but not mandatory.
• Training will be provided.
• Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Language: Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills are a plus.
• Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Opportunities for
• Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) application are available.
