Job Description:

Ilana Edery is seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our household as Child Caregivers. This position involves providing comprehensive care for children, including their safety, educational development, and emotional well-being. The ideal candidates are compassionate, responsible, and experienced in child care or early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Child Care and Supervision: Supervise and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Create a positive and nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued.
• Daily Activities and Routines: Plan and organize daily activities, including educational games, crafts, reading, and outdoor play. Establish and maintain consistent routines for meals, naps, and bedtime.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children according to dietary guidelines and preferences. Ensure that food is served in a safe and hygienic manner.
• Educational Support: Support children's learning and development through age-appropriate activities and educational programs. Assist with homework and school-related tasks as needed.
• Household Management: Maintain a clean and organized environment for children, including their play areas, bedrooms, and common spaces.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks related to child care, such as laundry and tidying up.
• Communication with Parents: Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding children's activities, behavior, and any concerns.
• Follow any specific instructions or guidelines provided by parents for child care.

Qualifications:

• LMIA approval for Child Caregiver position.
• Previous experience in child care or early childhood education is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions to ensure children's safety.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• First aid and CPR certification is a plus.
