Job Description:

We are seeking Temporary Foreign Workers approved under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) program to join our team as Cashiers at Kuhmart. This position is essential to providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth checkout experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cashier Duties: Operate cash registers to process sales transactions accurately. This includes scanning items, calculating totals, applying discounts, accepting payments (cash, credit, debit), and issuing change and receipts. Ensure the accuracy of cash drawers and reconcile end-of-day sales.
• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and offer assistance as needed. Address customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve customer issues with professionalism and a customer-centric attitude. Create a positive and welcoming shopping environment.
• Sales Promotions: Inform customers about ongoing promotions, discounts, and loyalty programs. Encourage customers to sign up for store membership or loyalty programs to enhance their shopping experience and increase sales.
• Bagging and Packaging: Bag customers' purchases efficiently, ensuring items are packed securely to prevent damage. Offer to carry heavy bags to customers' vehicles when needed.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. This includes cleaning countertops, restocking bags and other supplies, and disposing of trash. Ensure the checkout area is free from clutter and complies with safety standards.

Qualifications:

• LMIA approval for Cashier position.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred but not required.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate transaction processing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash and card transactions with integrity and accuracy.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of customers.
