Job Overview:

As an LMIA Carpenter at FJB Construction, you will play a vital role in our construction projects, responsible for building and assembling structures according to project specifications. This role requires a combination of carpentry skills, precision, and teamwork. You will work with a team of professionals to complete projects on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to understand project requirements.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to create building components such as frames, walls, floors, roofs, doors, and windows.
• Assemble and install structures, ensuring they are level, plumb, and properly aligned.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, hammers, and measuring devices.
• Collaborate with other trades, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter or in a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical documents.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in carpentry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic English language skills are preferred but not required.
