Job Summary:-

Do you enjoy troubleshooting and have analytical skills? If yes, we have always had an opening for an Electrical/Mechanical Technician Associate to give support to Journeyman Electrical/Mechanical Technicians throughout working time and on occasion following hours at their Athabasca Terminal.

What you'll do is:

• Performs both inspection and replacement on a variety of electrical/mechanical equipment to keep it in functioning shape.
• Maintains all maintenance records and ensures that all knowledge is logged in Maximo.
• As needed, implements our Quality & Environment systems and procedures.
• Assists the initial responder by providing emergency reactions.
• Participates in the product management team in order to set priorities for work tasks and to keep the corporate future goals in mind.
• Participation in Indigenous community support activities such as youth mentorship, and career, including employment conferences on an as-needed basis.

You are who and what you are:

• Grade 12 certification or comparable is required.
• A professional with proven excellence.
• Any form of electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation experience would be beneficial.
• A candidate who identifies herself as Indigenous may be given preferential treatment (First Nations, Metis, Inuit).
• Interpersonal, communications, and general people abilities are high.
• A valid class 5 driver's license is required.
• Have a positive mindset when it comes to safe work practices and driving behaviors.
• Strong computer abilities are really a significant plus.
• Has a good understanding of technical schematics.
• Because this is manual labour, physical fitness is a plus.
• An understanding of Indigenous culture and behaviors is advantageous.
• An aptitude exam will be required of prospective candidates.
• Dedication to completing the order to develop an appropriate apprenticeship program in its entirety.

Working Environment:

• (Thursday to Wednesday-12hr shifts) Works a 7-day on, 7-day off schedule.
• Daytime with the possibility of after-hours emergency response in collaboration with the on-call Senior Technician.
• Field environment with causes respiratory dangers and susceptibility to inclement weather.
• Within the Athabasca Region North, considerable travel is required.
• Both inside and outside exercises are part of the job.
