Job Description:
According to Maple Leaf Agri-Farm company policies, the livestock truck driver is in charge of the humane transportation of animals (pigs) inside our manufacturing facilities. Modern hydraulic lift deck trailers are used by Maple Leaf Agri-Farms, making it easier to manage the trailer and handle cattle while also encouraging environmentally friendly transportation. The location of this position is Landmark, Manitoba.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pigs are transported humanely inside our production facilities
- and must adhere to all biosecurity guidelines and regulations
- regularly inspect trucks and trailers
- All maintenance needs should be reported to the supervisor.
- Organize and maintain a clean tractor/trailer.
- Fill out all required documentation as directed.
- flexibility in work schedule, including occasional weekend work

REQUIREMENTS FOR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCE:
- Genuine Class 1A a driving record that is favorable Driver’s Abstract A minimum of one year of trucking or trailering experience
- 1 year or more of experience handling cattle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to work both alone and as part of a team Working in temperatures between +40 and –40 degrees Celsius
